ON WHY

Technology should give you more than it takes.

I · The grievance

We're tired of trying to focus. Tired of trying to put the phone down. Tired of opening an app to do one thing and closing it twenty minutes later having done nothing. Tired of multi‑trillion‑dollar international conglomerates sending us montages of our kids growing up because it has all our photos and decided we should feel something on a Tuesday.

We couldn't read the fine print. There wasn't any. Just a checkbox and a decade of consequences, which only got worse. We traded privacy, data ownership, and life ownership for convenience and perpetual endorphin‑induced synapse withering.

II · The leverage

Things are changing.

Every major tech company is racing to use AI to go deeper. To know you better. To predict you. To monetize you more efficiently than ever before. And while technology is rarely the solution to a problem technology created, sometimes, when the tools change, leverage changes with them.

Right now, for the first time, we have tools powerful enough to push them back. Now we have just have to use them.

III · The vision

It's going to be amazing.

We envision a world where the same technology that's been used to capture you can be used to give you some space. Where AI doesn't make the death by a trillion cuts worse, it stops the bleeding. Where technology is something that strengthens your bonds instead of substitutes them. Where it helps you be smarter, more grounded, more aware. Where it silences the noise so you can pay attention to your actual life.

IV · The build

AI is a paradigm shift.

It's going to reshape how every human being relates to every device they own, and we get to decide what that looks like. But the path of least resistance, the path the incumbents are already taking, leads to a place I don't want my kids to experience. That place will continue to take from them and lead to a lesser version of who they could become.

So we're building something better. Technology that gives more than it takes, works for you and only you, and puts you closer to the people and things that really matter.

That's what we mean when we say
Genuine.
